Note that what skincare you use should vary depending on your age. Women’s Health Magazine had this great summary of what you should be using depending on your age:

Twenties – sunscreen, antioxidants, niacinamide (for elasticity+prevent aging), glycolic or salicylic aid (exfoliate/cell turnover)
Thirties – retinol, cleansing exfoliators (move away from acid-based products), peptides for collagen producing
Forties – growth factors, caffeine, mild cleansers
